All we need is a couple of institutional reforms, education, and a lot more exposure to international politics and global realities... kaya dapat mas maraming manuod ng CNN! That way people will be more aware of our placement within the globe and wake up to an epiphany and demand more from government. We call ourselves "democratic", but to the extent that democracy has reached the level of informed and wise citizenry is bleak. Generally, walang alam ang mga pinoy sa state of development sa ibang bansa. We need to be more assertive and put ourselves back on that map!
